My name is Tom Grogan and I am writing to you as an orthopedic surgeon with over 20 years of experience. After attending Princeton University, University of Cincinnati Medical School and UCLA for my Orthopedic Residency, I completed three different fellowships. I am Board Certified, and a proud member of AAOS. I was later honored to be named Clinical Professor, Department of Orthopedic Surgery at UCLA and the Assistant Chief at Shriner’s Los Angeles.
I love practicing orthopedic surgery but, after opening my own practice, I soon realized how much I needed to learn to successfully run the business end of my practice. Today, I have a thriving practice because I learned firsthand what pitfalls to avoid on the business side of medicine. I have worked closely with the AAOS by giving lectures in various cities, and the Academy has published my writings on how surgeons can cut costs in medical practices.
Most recently, I have co-founded The Orthopedic Funding Group specifically to help other doctors realize the potential of their practice. OFG seeks to be the advisor of choice for our clients, and draw upon a nationwide presence and industry leaders to serve the full spectrum of your practice’s needs, whether they be:
• Access to Capital
• Remarketing of Medical Equipment
• Wealth Management
• Practice Development
OFG has established close relationships with financial institutions that can help surgeons manage the capital requirements of their practice. For an orthopedic practice, this relieves pressure from uneven cash flow, allows access to new equipment, gives the ability to invest in a surgery center, or even permits a down payment on a home. It can also simply erase old debt such as school loans. Having the very best x-ray and MRI equipment provides significant additional revenue streams, which enable a physician to practice medicine to the fullest and most satisfying extent.
OFG knows that the biggest asset in any practice is the surgeon, and our goal is to help you realize your potential by helping you to innovate and grow your practice. Please feel free to call me directly or my business partner Ed Mann, at (415) 831-1234 to see how we can help you maximize the success of your practice.
Very truly yours,
Tom Grogan, MD
